David’s strength surpasses all others Its barometric pressure dropped to 870 millibars, the lowest, and strongest, ever recorded. Jacksonville never experienced a direct hit from the east coast, let alone a category 5 storm. David is stronger than many tornadoes. Mandatory evacuations for millions of Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina residents began 3 days ago. Only concrete and brick structures have a chance of partially surviving these record setting winds. All Aluminum and wooden structures will be ripped to shreds. Hurricane David’s strength and enormous span will destroy half of Florida and coastal Georgia & South Carolina.
